SNMP Managed Ethernet over 1E1 Converter with 4 Ethernet Port,Support Point to MultiPoint Convergence

1. Overview


FEOP/1E1 is a Network Termination Unit connecting Fast Ethernet LANs over single E1 circuit. The device enables service providers to supply high-capacity Ethernet services to remote locations, and transparent connection of corporate LANs over existing E1 lines. The device can be used in point-to-point or in point-to-multipoint topology work together with Central unit FB001N/FB002. The device uses HDLC/GFP encapsulation to map the Ethernet traffic over E1.
 

Typical applications include:

Ethernet Private Line/LAN Services

IP DSLAMs, Cellular IP, and WiMAX base station back-hauling.

Inter-office or Enterprise LAN connectivity.


 

2.  Feature

 
Compact design with 1U height, 19 inch, 175mm depth,and can be installed on standard rack.
 
E1 interface
     ---> Provides 1 E1 interfaces, compliant to G.703, G.704, and G.823.
     ---> Data Rate of E1 interfaces:2.048Mbps;
      ---> Line Code of E1 interfaces: HDB3.
      ---> Line Impedance of E1 interfaces: 120Ω balanced and 75Ω unbalanced
     ---> E1 mode:
           Framed E1: E1 Channel can be set to PCM30/PCM31 mode, the occupied Time slot can
           consecutive or non-consecutive.
           Unframed E1: E1 is used as a whole E1 with 2048kbps of bandwidth, not be possible to
           divide this stream into Time slots.
     ---> Supports E1 loopback and the embedded E1 BER Tester function.
     --->Supports E1 loopback detection: Individual port will be shutdown if loopback is detected.
 
Ethernet interface
     ---> Provides up to 4 Ethernet interfaces.
     ---> Port Combinations: 4built-in electrical (FE).
           The FE interface supports auto-negotiation, which can work in 10/100M full/half-duplex.
     ---> Connector of Ethernet interface:
            RJ-45 for electrical (100BaseTx).
     ---> 4K MAC address table and 12/300 seconds aging time.
     ---> Compliance of Ethernet interface:
            Electrical Ethernet interface (FE) compliant to IEEE 802.3u 100BASE-TX standard.
     --->  Max Frame Size: 2031 bytes; Min Frame Size 64 bytes.
     ---> Supports Egress Rate Control (1-100M).
     ---> Supports port-based VLAN and IEEE 802.1Q tag-based VLAN.
     ---> Supports VLAN priority, and per port priority schemes enable users to define seven QoS
            levels  according to application requirements. This concept provides high priority to
            real-time applications such as voice and video.
     ---> Throughout statistic of the Ethernet packets based on port, such as error packets.
     ---> Configurable pause flow control.
     ---> Supports auto-MDI/MDIX function.
 
Timing mode
     --->  Optional local timing mode and tracing E1 line.

 

Supports GFP/HDLC encapsulation.

     ---> GFP-F encapsulation compliant to G.7041.

     ---> HDLC encapsulation compliant to RJ017.

 

NE Management

     ---> Supports CLI command based on CONSOLE port.

     ---> Supports Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), compatible with V1 and V2C protocol.

     --->  Monitoring the alarms and status in real-time.

 

Compliant to ITU-T standards

     ---> Ethernet to single E1 mapping recommendation G.8040.

 

Supports hot-spare power, the power consumption is less than 5W.

3.    Typical Application


Figure 3-1 illustrates a typical application (point-to-point). With FEOP/1E1 system, the Ethernet is transferred by E1.

As shown in Figure.3-2, with EoPDH and VLAN technology, the remote Ethernet service can be transmitted and converged into the service center (Switch) by FB002(point-to-multipoint);
